Sunset
Loch Eilt on a winter afternoon as the sun sets. There was a series of evenings when the sunset afterglow was stunning. The colours were intense. I wanted a stark image that ‘connected’ the landscape and sky but which left the viewer puzzling. This composition is not a ‘classic’ one but it ‘felt right’ at the time. It is very much my response to the circumstances, rather than any attempt to fully portray the scene.
