Applecross
The high mountain pass leading to Applecross rises from sea level in a dramatic series of hairpin curves. The view form the top is splendid. Other visitors, struck by the sheer spectacle, have felt the need to celebrate their presence by erecting stones. In late evening light the scene is sublime.
