Meg and Kate are definitely not pseudo. They
share a genetic link, one of this life's few unbreakable things.
Sometimes the qualities of the photographic work involved are less than perfect.
This negative is what I would call 'difficult' and I would never print it except for the
strength of the reality it contains.
It's hard to shake off one's
preoccupation with the trappings of craft, just as it is hard to rid one's
thinking of jargon originating in some 'discipline' like psychology.
The contradiction is that both craft and discipline have validity. It's up to us to
discern what is more important: form or content.
